Pressbooks is a WordPress-based platform for self-publishing books in multiple formats, including e-books, textbooks, webbooks, and print-ready PDFs. The open-source software offers a customized publishing environment and supports interactive features like H5P, making it an excellent option for creating Open Educational Resources (OER).
Through a partnership with the OPEN FL Pressbooks platform, UNF faculty have access to new tools for developing and customizing course materials, supporting efforts to make education more affordable and accessible. Pressbooks allows faculty to create original content or adapt existing OER, with easy online editing and interactive enhancements that improve the learning experience.
